The semi-autonomous region of Puntland said that there was a deal between the international ships in the coasts of Somalia and the region to convict the Somali pirates, official said on Sunday.
Abdikarin Ahmed Guled, the information minister of Puntland said in an interview with Shabelle radio that both sides their administration and international ships signed an agreement to put on pirates trail in the areas under the control of Puntland administration.

The minister said that there were hundreds of jailed pirates in their prisons in the region adding that the Somali pirates captured by the warships would be brought to them and would be convicted there in north of the country.
He disproved that there was any relations between the Somali pirates and Puntland administration accusing some of the warships were not present there for anti-pirates operations in the coasts of Somalia pointing out hat they commit actions against the Somali fishers.
The statement of Puntland's information minister comes as more warships are patrolling in the coasts of Somalia for protecting the international ships traveling through the coasts of Somalia, Indian Ocean and Gulf of Aden.
